The study aimed to assess school leaders' awareness and comprehension of phronetic leadership (PL) and to develop a knowledge management framework for the Department of Education (DepEd), Ifugao, Philippines, illustrating the socialization, externalization, combination, and internalization (SECI) model of PL from the perspectives of school leaders and teacher representatives. Quantitative data were collected from 151 administrators, while qualitative insights were gathered from focus group discussions. The findings revealed that many leader respondents were either unaware of PL or lacked a comprehensive understanding of it. School leaders demonstrate a gap in awareness, comprehension, and participation in capacity-building seminars on PL. This finding aligns with the recommendation from DepEd's top management for a leadership capacity-building seminar. This shortfall may jeopardize the effectiveness of school leadership through this approach. Consequently, there is an urgent need to establish professional development initiatives that enhance the practical implementation of PL in educational settings. Through Focused Group Discussions (FGD) with 130 stakeholders, a knowledge management framework inherent in the SECI model was developed for DepEd to amplify their leadership potential and improve educational outcomes. By implementing the different phases, the educational sector can create environments that encourage open communication and relationships focused on knowledge co-creation, resulting in a wealth of insights, innovative ideas, and improved performance.
